Upon hitting the target, the steel core works in conjunction with specially-engineered fracture lines on the shell to improve breakability upon impact. Together these features ensure the release of a pepper irritant cloud. When the irritant particles enters the threat’s respiratory system, it causes severe irritation, slowing and, in most cases, debilitating the threat so the user can get to safety. P2P Core Defense gives the user additional range when shot from a pepper ball-type launcher, like the HDX pump action shotgun, so they can increase the distance between themselves and a threat.
